Happy Sunday everyone! Holiday season fast approaches, and with festivities nigh, it’s just a great time of the year to have some fun and let loose a bit more often. The warmth of the holidays and the hype that precedes it brings joy and light to the cold and dark days of winter. Honestly, the last two months of the year are always incredibly memorable because it’s the time of year when I see more friends and family than ever. I just came back from celebrating a cousin’s birthday last night, which as absolutely epic. So in lieu of the birthday celebrations, I decided to share with you one of my most cherished party playlists. Because no matter whether you’re at a holiday work party, having a chilled out get together with friends, or partying hard, you always need a good playlist of music.
It has to be a mix of songs that make you want to get up and dance, catchy top 40, songs that bring you nostalgia (who can resist throwback music?), and a few relaxed ones thrown into the mix. So if you need to add some music to your repertoire, today’s list is here to help – and hopefully will make you want to call up your people and make some plans with them.
Aptly named “The Key of Z”, this playlist was initially created back in March when I hosted a friend’s birthday party. Ever since then, I’ve been adding songs that I think fit the upbeat, slightly quirky, party theme. Now a monster of a list at 140 songs, there are plenty of bangers you can sift through and mix and match with if you want to create a smaller list.
