5 Best Christmas Movies

As the holiday season quickly approaches, I can’t wait to cuddle up on the couch, drink some festive tea, and watch some of my favourite Christmas movies. Today I’m giving you a list of my top 5: some are massive Christmas classics and some a little less so. Of course, there are so many Christmas movies out there, and I won’t just be revisiting these five – ultimately, the lovely thing about Christmas and holiday movies is that they aim to instill cozy, loving, family and relationship-oriented feelings within the viewers. It’s a time where being a little more on…

Self Care Practices for a Productive Mind

Self Care Tips for Beating the Winter Blues This time of the year I tend to suffer a lot from Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), the lack of sunlight making it very difficult for me to get out of bed, or find motivation to do much of anything. This is something I deal with every year, and though people don’t talk much about it, it’s not at all uncommon. But the lack of discussion around it can mean that people don’t understand why they are feeling low around this time of the year, and moreover, not know how to invest time…

November Writing Tips

As the year comes to a rapid close, I find I tend to scramble to finish the goals I set out to accomplish. However, sometimes I have to remind myself that new goals and experiences can pop up at any time, no matter how early or late in the year it is. This year, instead of a big party and seeing a lot of people, I wanted to live out my ultimate, perfect, lazy “Sunday” for my birthday. And I really wanted to remember it, so, here I am writing about it. I spent my birthday at my parent’s house, my childhood house, my home. I had already taken a day off work so the night before my brother and…

Charmed: 20 Years After it First Aired and It is Still Iconic!

Coinciding well with the month of ghosts, witches and magic, this past week marked 20 years since the pilot of the WB show Charmed aired. If you are unfamiliar with the show, firstly, what have you been doing with your life? And secondly, you are missing out! And I say this knowing that while witches and hocus-pocus isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, there is so much to appreciate in this show. Charmed tells the story of three sisters, Prue, Piper, and Phoebe Halliwell (originally played by Shannen Doherty, Holly Marie Combs, and Alyssa Milano with the addition of Rose McGowan…
