The Fall: Is it Feminist?

I am definitely late to the game on this one having just finished the BBC, British-Irish series The Fall this week! I knew that I wanted to talk about the series but I was at a loss of what exactly to talk about until I saw the ratings for the show. The three series tense thriller had people falling over themselves to binge watch the first series back in 2013, but by its finale in 2016, reactions to it had shifted. The recent addition of the show on Netflix UK has had many people obsessed (and thoroughly creeped out), bingeing it within a few days, myself included, a change of tune from 2016. So, what happened?

Series Review: “Wanderlust”

To those that keenly subscribe to Netflix, you may have heard of or seen a trailer for the U.K. show entitled Wanderlust. A show about a mostly functional family, Wanderlust is predominantly focused on a couple named Joy and Alan as they make a massive relationship change. The Family Complex: “This Is Us”

If you know anything about the NBC show This Is Us, you’ll know that it’s an acclaimed tearjerker. Why You Should Watch “Bojack Horseman”

Anyone who knows me well knows that I am obsessed with Netflix’s adult animated TV series Bojack Horseman. Today’s post centers on why this show has become a surprising all-time-favourite of mine, and why I think everyone should give it a chance. Oftentimes, people assume that animated shows won’t be “adult” enough, as there is a subconscious association of cartoons with kids or “child-like” material. Of course, classic shows like The Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park, and Futurama are a few examples of just how adult cartoons can be. Recent examples are Archer, Bob’s Burgers, and Big Mouth, and that’s…
