AvidBards’ Social Distancing Film List (Part 2)

Welcome back, readers! As promised, here is Part 2 of the AvidBards Social Distancing Film List (Part 1 can be found here). Social distancing isn’t easy for many of us, as a lot of us have had our daily routines majorly disrupted by the current state of the world. While I absolutely advocate for social distancing and think it’s so important to stay at home if you can and as much as you can, I also understand that the mental ramifications can be tough. AvidBards’ Social Distancing Film List (Part 1)

During these times of uncertainty, we hope everyone is staying safe and healthy out there. In light of the current global health climate, many of us are practicing ‘social distancing’, which means staying at home and avoiding public places and gatherings as much as possible. It’s no secret that Valentine’s Day is a Hallmark holiday, predominantly created for capitalist purposes (think of how much money industries make on this holiday, as gifts range from cheap chocolates to expensive electronics or jewelry). While I don’t necessarily agree with the…

Top Favourites 2019: TV Shows

February is already upon us, but 2020 has still barely just begun. There is so much to look forward to this year – new books, shows, films, music, and more. It is around this time that S & I always like to reflect on the previous year’s highlights. Last year we did our Best Release series of posts for our top 2018 book, film, TV show and musical album. This year, we’re highlighting a handful of our favourites as opposed to just one. Because let’s face it, 2019 brought about a lot of great content, and we’re all for celebrating…
